About Us
It was Peter Drucker who said, “Because the purpose of business is to create a customer, the business enterprise has two – and only two – basic functions: marketing and innovation. Marketing and innovation produce results; all the rest are costs. Marketing is the distinguishing, unique function of the business.”
Marketing and its allied disciplines are very critical to all businesses. Given its importance, the key objective of BlueBarn is to build a community of ‘marketing types’ who can interact and share – new theories, new ideas, and their own experiences – so that all of us can gain from each other’s knowledge and wisdom. Increasingly, companies are feeling that marketing is not pulling as much weight as it should and many CEOs are losing faith in the marketing function. It is time to correct that perception. Hopefully, BlueBarn will be able to play a small role in empowering the marketing tribe.
Do share your thoughts and ideas on a regular basis. Get your friends to become a part of BlueBarn so that we can build a community of like-minded people. However, do avoid frivolous and unrelated posts – we would be compelled to delete inappropriate and ill-written posts and comments.
BlueBarn has been started by a small group of experienced marketing professionals to get the marketing discipline buzzing again.
